Do you want to redo your wardrobe for €0? This is the challenge that the IFA Paris Bachelor Fashion Sustainability and Bachelor Fashion Marketing students have taken up to develop a circular and responsible fashion while combining the pleasure of shopping!
For several years now, French fashion has had to adapt to the new environmental challenges of its sector. In particular, by turning to a sustainable, circular fashion, a fashion based on the principle of reuse and recycling of clothing.
Students in the Bachelor Fashion Marketing program at IFA Paris have been working on an innovative project: a California-style revisit to bartering. Called́ clothing swap this method allows those who wish to do so to get rid of their old clothes, exchanging them for second-hand clothes.
The event named Swap On will take place on June 25th at TLM (105 Rue Curial 75019). A place of solidarity that lends itself perfectly to this project.
Swap On encourages sharing and conviviality, while promoting an eco-responsible vision of fashion. This clothing swap will give fashion lovers the opportunity to participate in a committed project while enjoying a moment of pleasure.
Based on exchange rather than purchase and production, Swap On will allow fashionistas to redo their wardrobe without spending a cent or having a negative impact on the environment.
You want to participate? It is very simple!
To facilitate the participation process, students will host a drop-off session, from June 9th – 11th, 2022.
You can drop off your clothes directly at the IFA Paris Fashion school (18-24 Quai de la Marne 75019). Each item of clothing will then be valued and photographed, so that via the Spin application you can receive your credits.
These will vary according to the value of your clothes and will be used as currency during the clothing swap. A simple, fast and innovative principle.
Now that you have all the information, we are waiting for you on June 25, 2022 at TLM (105 Rue Curial 75019) to swap. But be careful not before 11am and not after 7pm!
On your marks, get set, swap!
