The Art of Fashion Illustration
Promotion 2026
Bachelor Fashion Design 1
As part of their first year of the Bachelor’s in Fashion Design at IFA Paris, the students from the English-speaking track explored the art of fashion illustration under the guidance of their professor Milica Stankovic. The project focused on the personal interpretation of fashion editorials. Inspired by the viral illustrations by Daniel Roseberry for Schiaparelli, the students were invited to rediscover the power of the human hand in a world saturated with digitally generated images.
Each student interpreted their favorite editorial through illustration, demonstrating that the emotion and intention behind each stroke and color can still have a profound impact, far beyond mere visual aesthetics. This work highlights the importance of the human gesture, which is fundamental to artistic creation.
This project sheds light on the value of personal expression in fashion and shows how manual illustration remains an essential and relevant creative tool in an increasingly digital world.
