How to Apply
The application process is the first important step into your future at IFA Paris. We value each individual’s commitment, and we will carefully assist and evaluate each application received on an equal basis. Our admissions consultants are available to guide you through each step of the application process as well as answer all your questions, because we understand the importance of choosing the right education as a foundation for a bright future.
Our admission requirements and procedure vary by program type. Explore below what is required for the program of your choice:
Undergraduate Programs (Year 1)
Would you like to join our Paris fashion school as a first-year student? Apply now by following the steps below.
Prerequisites: At least 16 years of age. (You can apply before you are 16 but should be at least 16 when you start at IFA Paris)
- Fill in the online application form and upload the following documents:
- CV/Resume
- Motivation letter
- Passport photo
- Passport copy for non-EU applicants and ID copy for EU applicants
- English teaching language: an IELTS score of 5.5 or above, or a TOEFL score of 65 or above. Alternatively, provide an English training certificate or proof of previous education in English
- French teaching language: a TCF score of B2 or equivalent. Alternatively, a proof of previous education in French
- Bachelor’s degree certificate or higher and latest transcript
- Your admission consultant will contact you to set up a date and time for your online interview. Candidates applying for a Bachelor Fashion Design will need to submit, prior to their planned interview, a creative book. This document is not a professional portfolio, but rather an ensemble of body of work such as Mood boards (collect and collage the reference pictures representing your vision), Free hand illustrations and/or sketches related to your mood board, Fabric swatches that will fit to your sketches, Photos representing your style, some research showing which type of customer you are designing for and their personas…etc. The objective of this book is to understand what is your creative perspective as a future designer.
- Attend your interview
- Following the online interview and after the evaluation, the admission department will send you an admission or rejection letter
- If you are accepted, confirm your enrollment by paying your tuition fees
Application Fee:
- French-taught programs: €80
- English-taught programs: €150
Undergraduate Programs (Transfer in Year 2 or 3)
This admission procedure is intended for students who wish to integrate IFA Paris directly in Year 2 or 3 of a Bachelor Program.
The documents requested and evaluations are geared towards assessing whether your level is on par with the academic expectations of the year you intend to integrate.
Prerequisites: In addition to the pre-requisites detailed for Year 1, you will need to provide justification of working experience in fashion (short term internships, summer jobs…etc.), as well as a proof of validation of the necessary ECTS credits, or equivalent, required to integrate the level you are aiming for
- Fill in the online application form and upload the following documents:
- CV/Resume
- Motivation letter
- Passport photo
- Passport copy for non-EU applicants and ID copy for EU applicants
- English teaching language: an IELTS score of 5.5 or above, or a TOEFL score of 65 or above. Alternatively, provide an English training certificate or proof of previous education in English
- French teaching language: a TCF score of B2 or equivalent. Alternatively, a proof of previous education in French
- Bachelor’s degree certificate or higher and latest transcript
- Students applying for one of our creative postgraduate degrees must provide their portfolio.
- Most recent academic award proving validation of the necessary ECTS for transfer in your desired level. Detailed academic documents, such as course handbook or syllabi, may be requested to establish credit recognition
- Your admission consultant will contact you to set up a date and time for your online interview
- Before your interview you will be required to take the following online tests which consist of:
- General knowledge questions
- A drawing to be prepared on a chosen theme for the Bachelor Fashion Design program
- An essay for the Bachelor Fashion Marketing & Management program
- Attend your interview
- Following the online interview and after the evaluation, the admission department will send you an admission or rejection letter
- If you are accepted, confirm your enrollment by paying your tuition fees

- English-taught programs: €150
Postgraduate Programs
This admission process is intended for students wishing to join IFA Paris directly in postgraduates programs.
The documents requested and evaluations are geared towards assessing whether your level is on par with the academic expectations of the year you intend to integrate.
Prerequisites: In addition to the pre-requisites detailed for Year 1, you will need to provide justification of working experience in fashion (short term internships, summer jobs…etc.), as well as a proof of validation of the necessary ECTS credits, or equivalent, required to integrate the level you are aiming for

- Passport copy for non-EU applicants and ID copy for EU applicants
- English teaching language: an IELTS score of 6.5 or above, or a TOEFL score of 79 or above. Alternatively, provide an English training certificate or proof of previous education in English
- French teaching language: a TCF score of B2 or equivalent. Alternatively, a proof of previous education in French
- Bachelor’s degree certificate or higher and latest transcript
- Students applying for one of our creative postgraduate degrees must provide their portfolio.
