Professional Experience Validation (VAE)

Validation of acquired experience (VAE) allows individuals to obtain a professional certification by recognizing professional, personal, or volunteer experiences that correspond to the skills targeted by that certification. The certification obtained through VAE has the same value as that obtained through initial or continuing education.

The VAE program is designed for everyone, regardless of age, status, or educational background. All experiences relevant to the desired certification are considered, including volunteer work. As a genuine career management tool, VAE allows you to:

• Transition to a new career

• RNCP Title: “Styliste-Modéliste” (Fashion Designer – Pattern Maker)– Level 6 (equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree – 3 to 4 years of higher education), awarded by IFA Paris and registered in the RNCP (French National Directory of Professional Certifications) by decision of France Compétences on January 31, 2025 for 5 years (RNCP No. 40157).
• RNCP Title: “Manager du marketing et du développement de produits de mode” (Manager of Fashion Product Development and Marketing) – Level 7 (equivalent to a Master’s degree), awarded by IFA Paris and registered in the RNCP by decision of France Compétences on March 28, 2025 for 5 years (RNCP No. 40351).

The VAE journey unfolds in several stages, all accessible through "France VAE", the national platform dedicated to the VAE system.

1. Choosing Your Professional Certification: Select the IFA Paris professional certification that's right for you by entering its title and RNCP number into the search bar:
   • « Styliste-Modéliste », RNCP 40157.
   • « Manager du marketing et du développement de produits de mode », RNCP 40351.
2. Registering on the "France VAE" Platform: You can opt to complete your VAE with the guidance of a Pathway Support Architect or independently. A Pathway Support Architect is an entity strictly independent of IFA Paris, with whom you will arrange a support service.
3. Completing the Feasibility Application: Fill out the online feasibility application from your "France VAE" account. IFA Paris will then review it via the "France VAE" platform.
4. Compiling the Validation File: If your application is deemed admissible, you'll proceed to compile your validation file. This step involves assessing your experience and demonstrating the link between your acquired skills and the requirements of the targeted professional certification.
5. Presenting to the VAE Jury: Present your validation file to the VAE jury, organized by IFA Paris. After deliberation, the jury's decision will be communicated to you within 15 days. Three outcomes are possible:
   • Full Validation: The jury fully validates your experience and acquired knowledge, approving the issuance of the targeted professional certification.
   • Partial Validation: The jury grants you a portion of the targeted professional certification but requires additional training or the acquisition of further experience in a specific area.
   • No validation is awarded.

• VAE jury fees: €1,700

RNCP Certification « Manager du marketing et du développement de produits de mode » Level 7 ( equivalent to a Master’s degree)

• VAE jury fees: €2,000

Please note: Whether you choose to carry out your VLE with an Architect

Whether you are an Accompagnateur de Parcours or on your own, you will pay the costs of the VAE jury directly to IFA Paris. The terms and conditions of the jury will be explained and accessible as soon as you choose your professional certification on the ‘France VAE’ platform.
