Piu Piu inaugurates the masterclass series at IFA Paris

Posted on 22/01/2025

On January 17, 2025, the masterclass series at IFA Paris was officially launched by Piu Piu, presenter, DJ, and music producer, whose real name is Giulietta Canzani Mora. Sharing the stage with Jean-Baptiste Andreani, the school’s director, she presented her inspiring career path and inaugurated a series of conferences designed for students passionate about fashion and creativity.

An inspiring creative journey

Giulietta Canzani Mora, better known as Piu Piu, is a French artist of Uruguayan descent. Renowned on the electro music scene as a DJ, she is also the presenter of Canal Piu, a program broadcast on Canal+ that explores the fashion industry, major trends, and today’s leading designers. In addition, she founded Good Sisters, a creative agency that connects public figures (actors, influencers, etc.) with key players in the fashion world.

During this masterclass, Piu Piu shared her journey and her perspective on the music and fashion industries. She discussed several aspects of her career, including the challenges she has faced, and opened up about her experience as a woman in creative fields.

She also emphasized the importance of cultivating certain key qualities to succeed in the fashion industry: “You may aspire to big jobs, but to get there, you first need to work and learn. You have to assist experienced professionals and make yourself indispensable. When you arrive somewhere, no one is waiting for you. You must give them a reason to want you on their team.”

A moment of connection with students

Jean-Baptiste Andreani, the director of IFA Paris, co-hosted the event alongside Piu Piu. Together, they highlighted the importance of students engaging with industry professionals to prepare for the challenges of the professional world.

Following her presentation, Piu Piu answered several questions from students on topics such as career management, networking, and burnout. She also shared her thoughts on why it’s crucial for professionals to stay connected with younger generations: “Being in touch with their dreams and their questions helps us understand how young people perceive fashion today.”

These discussions encouraged students to think critically about their futures in the industry and gave them practical advice to help advance their own career.

The start of a promising masterclass series

This inaugural event marks the beginning of a series of conferences to be held throughout the year at IFA Paris. Featuring professionals from various fields such as fashion, communication, marketing, and media, these events are designed to inspire and prepare students for the challenges of the creative and fashion industries.

The upcoming masterclasses will feature other notable speakers. Students will have the opportunity to further enrich their academic and professional journeys by connecting with leading experts in their fields.

Stay tuned in the coming weeks to discover the next speaker in this exciting series. If you want to meet inspiring professionals and enhance your career, join us at IFA Paris. The future of fashion awaits you.
