Jean-Baptiste Andreani on Figaro TV: Rethinking Fashion and Education

Posted on 06/07/2026

Jean-Baptiste Andreani, Director of IFA Paris, was invited on Figaro TV's Regards de Dirigeants to discuss the future of fashion education. In the interview, he unpacks how sustainability, AI, and technological innovation are transforming both the profession and the expectations of luxury brands and how IFA Paris is adapting to stay ahead of the curve.

Jean-Baptiste Andreani on Figaro TV: Rethinking Fashion, Innovation and Education

How do we train the talents of tomorrow in an industry where the rules of fashion are constantly evolving? Between sustainability, innovation, artificial intelligence and economic demands, brands are no longer looking solely for artists, but also for creative and pragmatic managers.

Asked by Figaro TV about his teaching philosophy, Jean-Baptiste Andreani explains:

"I was watching an interview with Karl Lagerfeld and I found his words particularly relevant: fashion is not about prescribing, it’s about proposing. I think this applies perfectly to education."

This approach guides all of IFA Paris’ programs, which combine creativity and innovation while preparing students to anticipate changes in the industry and to pursue careers on an international scale.

Sustainability and PROFESSIONAL EXCELLENCE at the Heart of the Curriculum

At IFA Paris, students approach sustainability in a concrete, hands-on way. AI is used to boost productivity and drive innovation, while market data analysis helps students optimize inventory and anticipate trends.

Beyond the teaching provided by professionals, students participate in real and immersive projects: designing collections, implementing brand strategies, conducting photoshoots, organizing mini-fashion shows… Each module is designed so that theory immediately translates into practical experience, preparing students to tackle real-world challenges.

From the very first year, students face concrete situations: visiting boutiques and studios with their CVs in hand, creating collective projects, and building interpersonal, negotiation, and teamwork skills through hands-on experience.

PREPARING TALENTS ON AN INTERNATIONAL SCALE

International exposure is at the heart of the IFA Paris experience. With over 111 nationalities represented, students thrive in a stimulating multicultural environment and gain hands-on immersion in the real fashion market.

Thanks to partnerships with institutions such as Kent State University or Polimoda, the European approach to sustainability and responsible fashion is shared internationally, giving rise to ambitious projects such as joint fashion shows for New York Fashion Week.

This global perspective develops agile profiles, capable of anticipating major trends and managing projects on an international scale.

Join IFA Paris to develop your creativity, understand market dynamics, and gain practical skills in an international environment. Design and manage your projects at the heart of fashion while experiencing a unique professional journey. Discover our programs.
