120 looks, 37 young designers and one shared theme: making the unseen visible. For the IFA Paris fashion show 2026, Students presented their creations around “Wearing the Unseen”. The annual event celebrates their creativity, craftsmanship and the emergence of their identity as designers.
“Wearing the Unseen”: Clothing as a Language
How do you translate an emotion into a cut? How do you give a memory a tangible presence? How can a material express an identity? With the theme “Wearing the Unseen”, IFA Paris’ fashion design students were invited to explore what escapes the eye and give it shape through clothing.
For this new edition of the annual fashion show, 37 selected graduates from the Bachelor in Fashion Design and the specialized MBA programs in Fashion Designing & Creativity presented 120 looks. Each creation turned clothing into a form of expression, able to tell a story, reveal an emotion or question our relationship with the body and identity.
The shared theme inspired a wide range of interpretations. Through materials, volumes, constructions and details, each designer asserted a personal creative universe and offered the audience their own interpretation of the visible and the unseen.
The show was also a collective effort. This year, the scenography was designed by students from École Bleue. This collaboration created a dialogue between fashion design and spatial design around the theme “Wearing the Unseen”, bringing several disciplines together in a single project.
A new generation of fashion designers meetS industry professionals
The IFA Paris fashion show is also a chance to connect young designers with the fashion industry. At this year's event, Yann Rivoallan, President of the Fédération Française du Prêt à Porter Féminin (the French women’s ready-to-wear federation), highlighted the role of the new generation in shaping the future of fashion.
His presence placed this key moment of the school year in a professional context. It also underlined one of the show’s main goal: giving young designers a first stage to present their work, share their creative research and assert their own identity.
With “Wearing the Unseen”, the 37 selected graduates showed different ways of approaching clothing: as a technical construction, as a sensory experience, and as a true means of expression. The fashion show the final step in their Bachelor or Specialized MBA at IFA Paris: where an initial concept becomes a fully realized collection presented to an audience.
Coordination, organization, responsiveness and teamwork: taking part in the show gave students first-hand experience of what producing a fashion show demands. This approach is at the heart of the school’s teaching philosophy: helping each student develop a creative vision, experiment and acquire the technical skills needed to bring ideas to life.
