Fashion Revolution was founded by Carry Somers and Orsola de Castro following the Rana Plaza disaster in Bangladesh in 2013 and advocates for a fashion industry that preserves and restores the environment and values people over growth and profit. The organization has become the world's largest fashion activism movement, with a presence in 75 countries, mobilizing citizens, brands and policymakers. Fashion Revolution works for a responsible, transparent, environmentally and community-friendly fashion industry through research, education and advocacy.

Fashion Revolution

On April 24th, as part of Fashion Revolution Week 2023, Jean-Baptiste Andreani, CEO of IFA Paris, and Azin Moghaddam, Iranian activist and graduate of IFA Paris, will participate in a round table discussion on the theme of "fashion and migration". This will be an opportunity for IFA Paris to raise awareness of its actions in favor of the integration of migrants through fashion. In particular, the Hope Walk project in partnership with Good Chance or the collaboration with the United Nations office of migration in the Western Balkans. This very concrete project gives access to training courses allowing the professional integration of migrants.

IFA Paris wanted to participate in the Fashion Revolution 2023, especially since this year marks 10 years since the collapse of the Rana Plaza factory, where more than 1,300 employees died. This sad anniversary reminds all actors of the fashion industry of the importance of protecting workers, respecting working conditions and decent pay for all actors.
