The IFA Paris & Kent State University Fashion Schools Joint Fashion Show during New York Fashion Week

The leading fashion institutions, IFA Paris and the School of Fashion at Kent State University, have yet again delivered show stopping fashion for their second creative collaboration during New York Fashion Week (NYFW). With the generous support of the Garment District Alliance and New York Film Academy, this year's event was an exceptional celebration of global cultures and a testament to their shared commitment to elevating alumni engagement and recognition.

IFA Paris and the School of Fashion at Kent State University have long been trailblazers in the world of fashion education, fostering the next generation of visionary designers and industry leaders. With a shared purpose to amplify their impact, the two esteemed institutions embarked on this unique partnership, combining their distinctive strengths and perspectives to create a harmonious and powerful alliance.

This year's joint fashion show during NYFW was a celebration of the bond between diverse cultures, united under a common passion for fashion and creativity. Showcasing an array of breathtaking collections that inspiring toy blend traditional techniques and contemporary designs from around the world, the event was captivating and inspiring the fashion community, as well as broader audiences alike.

The creative fusion of IFA Paris, the School of Fashion at Kent State University, and NYFA brings together a wealth of global talent, a hallmark of the institutions' ethos. With an emphasis on innovation, sustainability, and inclusivity, the show embodied the essence of a reimagined future for the fashion industry.

IFA Paris selected 20 outfits shown in New York. The vast majority came from its 2023 Bachelor Fashion Design, Bachelor Fashion Sustainability and Master of Arts Contemporary Fashion Design graduate show held at the Museum of Immigration in Paris. Additional works from Bachelor Fashion Design students in Year 1 and Year 2 were also selected to be shown on the catwalk. A very promising debut for our emerging designers. It is worthy to note that our students’ creations open and closed the show. A testament to the quality of their collections!

Speaking about the collaboration, Jean-Baptiste Andreani, CEO at IFA Paris, expressed, "We are truly excited to join hands with the School of Fashion at Kent State University for the second time. Similarly, Ann Mariko Walter, Director, NYC Fashion, a study away location of the School of Fashion at Kent State University, shared their enthusiasm, stating, "Last year's joint show was a testament to the magic that happens when creative minds unite. Our students and alumni are eagerly looking forward to showcasing their ingenuity and exploring how the fusion of global cultures can lead to a revolutionary era in the fashion industry."
