IFA Paris Istanbul had the honor of welcoming British artist Ian Berry, renowned for his artworks made entirely from denim. Our students had the unique opportunity to explore his creative world, where recycled jeans are transformed into striking works of art.
An Immersion into Ian Berry’s World
Before his visit to the campus, our students attended Ian Berry’s exhibition at Kalyon Kültür, where they discovered the diversity of his creations : portraits, urban scenes, and immersive installations. Each piece showcased his craftsmanship and innovative approach to textiles. By repurposing old denim into art, Ian Berry not only breathes new life into everyday material but also addresses contemporary themes with a thought-provoking perspective.
An Exclusive Exchange with IFA Paris Students
During his visit to IFA Paris, Ian Berry led an engaging Q&A session with our students and faculty, offering insights into his creative process, the challenges of working with denim, and the importance of recycling in his artistic approach. He also shared the personal stories behind his artworks, making the discussion both insightful and inspiring. Students in the field of Fashion Designing and Creativity and Fashion Business & Marketing explored the intersections of art, fashion, and sustainability.

Alumna Youna Jamin's Journey: From IFA Paris to Condé Nast
Former Fashion Business & Marketing student at IFA Paris, Youna Jamin now works within the Condé Nast France media group, in the Consumer department, where she contributes across all the group’s titles: Vogue, AD, Vanity Fair and GQ.
Currently an intern, she holds an operational role at the intersection of marketing, circulation, influence and, more occasionally, editorial activities. Her career path illustrates the diversity of roles within fashion and media marketing, as well as the importance of a professional-oriented education to succeed in a demanding and competitive environment.
