Designer Pierre-François Valette’s Masterclass at IFA Paris

An Immersion into the world of Valette Studio

During this masterclass, Pierre-François Valette reflected on his journey, from his early days in the industry to the creation of Valette Studio. He outlined the values of his brand, his approach to design, and the unique aspects of his work. Using visuals from his runway shows, he provided insights into his creative process, the construction of his silhouettes, and his method for developing each collection.

One of the key themes of this masterclass was the range of skills needed to succeed as a fashion entrepreneur. “Working in fashion also means analyzing society, desires, consumption habits, and finding solutions,” he emphasized.

He highlighted the importance of responsiveness and adaptability in an ever-evolving industry.
 

A Dynamic Exchange with Students

This masterclass brought together students from both the Fashion Designing and Creativity and Fashion Business & Marketing fields of study, fostering interdisciplinary dialogue. “I found it very interesting to have both creative and business students here because in a small fashion house like mine, you have to do everything,” concluded Pierre-François Valette at the end of his talk.

Student interaction was at the heart of the discussion, leading to insightful conversations on entrepreneurship, brand management, and industry challenges. Encouraging students to seize every opportunity, he advised: “You have to explore and take on every experience that comes your way, that’s how you’ll learn.”

This masterclass gave students a firsthand look at the daily life of an independent designer, equipping them with key insights to better navigate the challenges of the fashion industry.
 

A Partnership with IFA Paris

The collaboration between Valette Studio and IFA Paris extends beyond this masterclass. The designer invited IFA Paris students to attend his show at Paris Fashion Week, offering them an exclusive opportunity to experience the energy of the Parisian fashion scene.

Pierre-François Valette will also take part in several educational events at IFA Paris as a jury member.
