Her sustainable collection, Repression, showcased at Guatemala Fashion Week 2024, is a testament to the fusion of creativity, heritage, and responsibility.

An Award-Winning Collection Honoring Guatemalan Heritage

Valentina Desiree Garcia captivated audiences at Guatemala Fashion Week 2024 with her sustainable collection Repression. Developed during her Bachelor Fashion Design studies in Istanbul, the collection won first place in a prestigious Central American contest and secured funding from the Made in Guate initiative.

This initiative bridges the gap between designers and Guatemalan artisans, celebrating the richness of traditional craftsmanship while fostering economic growth in artisan communities. Valentina’s work stands as a beautiful homage to her cultural roots, blending tradition with contemporary design.
