“Rebooting the Archives” – The IFA Paris Graduation Fashion Show
Posted on 10/10/2025
The annual IFA Paris fashion show highlighted the final collections of graduating students from the Undergraduate and Postgraduate Fashion Designing & Creativity programs. A key moment in the academic year, where technical skill, creative commitment and cultural diversity meet on stage.
Reinterpreting archives, asserting identity
Under the theme “Rebooting the Archives”, 35 final-year students presented 135 original looks during a professional runway show attended by over 350 guests.
The silhouettes were presented across 11 themed segments, ranging from minimalism to retro romanticism, with some collections offering bold, experimental or socially engaged perspectives. Nearly 40 models took part in the show, bringing to life the creative vision of this emerging generation of designers.
The collections revisited fashion codes through a variety of references: personal archives, fashion heritage, and collective memory. Some took on political or social commentary, while others explored themes such as gender, intimacy, or the tension between craft and technology.
Staying true to its values, IFA Paris encourages its students to approach fashion in a more responsible and conscious way. Several projects incorporated tangible eco-conscious practices, including upcycling and the reuse of leftover fabrics. The show served as a platform to express these commitments, both in the materials selected and the stories told through the garments.
An international and professional learning environment
This year’s edition also welcomed students from Spanish school Cesine, who joined the runway to showcase their own creations alongside the IFA Paris graduates. This collaboration, fully integrated into the event, reflects the intercultural and global mindset that IFA Paris promotes throughout its academic programs.
Working with individuals from diverse cultural and educational backgrounds helps students prepare for the collaborative and fast-evolving nature of the fashion industry.
As a milestone of the final year, the fashion show offers fashion design students a true professional simulation, a chance to imagine, design, and produce a collection, expressing one's creative universe while also taking a common theme into account.
The event represents the culmination of several years of intensive training, combining artistic exploration, technical mastery and the shaping of a creative identity. It marks the end of their student journey and the beginning of a new chapter for the next generation of designers.
