Module Structure

2 weeks, from Monday to Friday, from 10 am to 5 pm:

  • Fabric Experimentation and Fabric Book:
    Guide to fibers, material making methods and uses of typical used materials, casual clothing and accessories.
    Knowledge recorded within individually crafted fabric book to be used as reference for future modules.
    Fabric experimentation and manipulation for the garment construction.
    Techniques of knitting, printing, dying and embroidery to help create fabrics.
  • Finding Inspiration and Developing Creativity:
    Fabric experimentation and manipulation for the garment construction.
    Techniques of knitting, printing, dying and embroidery to help create fabrics.
  • Create a collection with the fabric transformation:
    Personal collection using creative fabrics, and basic garment.
    Building a concept, searching for inspiration, developing ideas, realization of a personal garment to be produced with a creative fabric.

Applications for on campus format are open until 1 month before the program start date. Past this deadline, applications will be processed based on seats availability.

Applications for online format are open until 1 week before the program start date. Past this deadline, applications will be processed based on seats availability.

Early bird discount (10%) for tuition fee payments processed at least 7 months in advance of the program start date.

What is included in the fee:

  • Access to IFA’s Online Learning Management System (LMS)

What is not included in the fees:

  • Expenses related to module specific materials (ex: purchase of fabrics, future boards…etc)
  • Printing and photocopying costs
  • Production costs related to prototyping such as tracing paper, toile, fabrics, trimmings

  • Color Pencils, Paint
  • Sketchbook
  • A recent computer with a recent operating system
  • A good internet connection
  • An up-to-date web browser. (It would be advisable to ensure you have access to two separate web browsers)
  • Microphone & Headphones (a headset with microphone/headphones is recommended)
