October of 2021 saw new fashion tech startups commence the Startup Program at Foundry Powered by IFA Paris. Understandingly, we get a buzz welcoming fresh founders to the program as they commence working with the incubation team. This cohort, we say hello to the following new startups:
Katharina Flohr of WeWear
FEast: founded by Anthony Duignan-Cabrera and based in Ireland, FEast is a social shopping app linking emerging Chinese fashion brands to the West. It aims to bridge two sides of the world together to create an exciting digital shopping experience for consumers seeking new, emerging talent.
WeWear: Co-founded by Olivier Bindo, Patricia Perez Arias, and Katharina Flohr, this London-based startup is on a mission to deliver the next big thing in digital fashion and the metaverse. A very hot topic right now, the team aims to take the boundaries of digital fashion to the next level.
Vays Lab: Founded by Valeriia Povergo and based in Italy, Valeriia is currently trying to solve fashion’s well-known fit and sizing problem. By exploring virtual try-on, the startup is getting to the root causes between customers and brands for fit-related issues.
The young startups are currently in their product discovery and definition phase of building out their concepts. With all three startups heavily present in the digital sphere, we are certainly excited to see how they develop, collaborate and bring their solutions to the market. Check back in six months at www.foundryftlab.com to see how they’ve got on.
Starting from January 2022, the Startup Program will also welcome applications from any type of fashion-related startup. This could be a fashion brand, a fashion service or tech-led company. Applications are currently open for the next cohort. Apply online at Startup Program | IFA Paris
