IFA Paris Istanbul Campus MBA Fashion Business students were on an integrated field trip during their Modest Fashion seminar class.

Students visited a few modest fashion stores in Fatih, one of Istanbul’s culturally conservative but economically vibrant neighborhoods.

Mustafa Karaduman, the former chair and founder of Tekbir Giyim shared his experience and factors that triggered his inspiration to come up with this groundbreaking idea of establishing the concept of ‘modest fashion’ back in 1982, envisioning Turkey becoming the hub of the trend, in equal terms as Paris, Milan, London and New York are for contemporary fashion.

This field trip has empowered the students’ perspective of fashion and the multiple facets of this creative industry aligned with the multicolor city of Istanbul.
