5 designers from the ranks of IFA Paris have be turning many heads recently in several countries.
The latest collection by designer Davinia Vitrac, which already attracted lots of attention during the Paris Houte Couture week at the start of the year, has been selected to be part of the "Dauphine Art Days" fashion show - an arts and culture event organized by the Paris-Dauphine University. A resounding success for this young IFA Paris graduate!
In Russia, Anastasia Gregoryeva has been selected as one of the finalists for the "Russian Sihouette" contest. This competition is very popular in Russia where the final will be broadcast on television in October. We wish Anastasia the very best of luck for this competition which will no doubt raise her profile on the Russian fashion market.
Staying in Russia, this time it's Ria Keburia who has found fame on Style.com (The fashion site of the moment) by being featured as one of the three most important designers at Moscow Fashion Week!
It's a well-deserved achievement for this young designer who graduated in 2013, but has already been showcasing her collections at Moscow Fashion Week for 5 years.
And there's more encouraging and promising news: the collection by Karen Topacio will be shown on the cover "Rummage", a new and very edgy Australian magazine whose first issue is scheduled for release this month. We will be following Karen's activities very closely!
Thelma Bjornsdottir, IFA Paris,
winner at Pulp Fashion Week
And finally, we must mention an extra special achievement. Thanks to her audacious style that's full of freshness and originality, Thelma Bjornsdottir won the young designers competition by a mile (unanimous decision by the jury, out of 15 finalists) at the Pulp Fashion Week, the Parisian plus-size fashion event. It's a high-profile event that is very popular with professionals and is advertised all over the Paris Metro. It was also attended by French actress and comedian Firmine Richard.
So let's hear it for our amazingly talented Thelma!
