At IFA Paris, one of our missions is to keep our students up to date with the latest changes within the fashion industry. 3D printing is a brand-new, state of the art technology that is bound to become inevitable in the future: although still rarely employed in fashion (for example :www.youtube.com/watch?v=wdRswasftfI), it is already widely used when designing accessories or jewellery.
This is the reason why a new 3D printing workshop has been launched for the IFA Paris second-year Bachelor Fashion Design students.
After learning how to use a 3D graphics software, our Fashion Design students will have to create a small accessory by designing it using a 3D file that will then be 3D printed. Let us see in March what our inventive students will have made of this cutting-edge technology!
