Human resources are an important key to success in any company. The famous Maison Dior proves it successfully once again in Shanghai.
On March 15th, a week after the international women’s day, a new program created by Maison Dior was successfully launched. The Women @ Dior program gathered numerous female students from different international fashion schools, including IFA Paris, all fond of the Dior universe. Each of the students were paired with a mentor, a female Dior marketing manager below 30. This program was launched in a timely fashion as Dior, a brand which echoes with femininity, is under the spotlights thanks to its new Artistic Director Maria Grazia Chiuri, whose creations and values breathe a new life into the Dior spirit.
Monica Pozyn, an IFA Paris MBA Fashion Business student from South Africa had the honor of being selected as a “Young Talent” by Dior in Shanghai to take part in this day full of events. According to Dior, these young talents are looking for recognition and the customization of their wishes. They want to talk about careers and seek reassurance knowing that their professional destiny will be well guided. Thus, the aim of the program was to pair a mentor and a mentee who will create a long term relationship and involvement. A new female story, loyal to Christian Dior’s mind who has always been faithful to his muse and friends and passionate about nature, flowers and the beauty in any element. “For IFA Paris, this collaboration with such a prestigious Maison is a great opportunity to showcase our students’ great talent” said Adile Cretallaz, IFA Paris Career and Alumni Centre Director.
The day started with an interesting visit of Dior’s outlets in the IFC Pudong Mall (Dior Couture, Dior Homme, Baby Dior, Dior Perfume and Cosmetics and a pop-up store), four very elegant and sophisticated stores. Back at the Dior headquarters, Joe, the training manager gave the students a presentation of what made Dior Universe so rich and unique. This was followed by a presentation of the students and the Dior mentors as well as schools’ representatives, which allowed further connection between the mentors and the mentees.
“We received very positive feedback from both the students and their mentors. The students told us that this program gave them an opportunity to be closer to Dior and they were more than happy to be selected as part of the program and expected to learn more and grow further with the help of our mentors. The mentors will continue to contact the students directly in the coming year to help them develop their professional network.” a Dior manager commented.
IFA Paris hopes to further this precious collaboration with Dior and wishes the best to Monica Pozyn who “impresses us so much” according to what is being said at la Maison Dior.
